Assessment and selection package for Managers – New tailored solution to reduce your risk
Organisations are becoming more aware of the financial risks associated with fraud, the threat to OH&S of non compliance and the threat to the business of managers not being held accountable for their performance and the achievement of key deliverables.
ValueEdge has recently developed a comprehensive assessment package to minimise the risk of making appointments to management positions of candidates who are likely to place the organisation at risk as a result of their propensity to behave inappropriately.
As accountability, compliance and probity are traits that are traditionally difficult to assess, this innovative new assessment package uses three techniques to allow cross validation of results, personality profiling, behavioural questions and realistic scenarios.
Personality profiling completed prior to interview and mapped onto these competencies identifies individuals who have a higher probability of behaving inappropriately. Behavioural questions at interview permit an examination of past behaviour in the relevant areas by exploring how they have handled situations in the past. The use of realistic scenarios completed as written exercises just prior to the interview allows the panel to assess the appropriateness of the applicant’s responses in relation to the demands of the role for which they are being assessed.
Integration and evaluation of all of this data allows the panel to identify the candidates about which they should be concerned. If they are seriously considering these candidates then the referee checking must be of the highest standard.
